Campus-Based Military Liaison

The campus-based military liaison serves as an advocate for the military community and helps to integrate the military student into their campus. They provide resources and program information support to military families. They interact with military families and students and serve as the primary point of contact for school-related matters, assist with military families with educational issues, coordinate with local school systems and forge partnerships between the military and school communities. They also oversee staff development initiatives and coordinate a range of events, such as Purple Up, Veteran's Day Programs and Military Child Appreciation Activities.
They attend professional development related to supporting military-connected children and their families and are able to provide information about the local school system and community. The liaisons are also able to support parents with interpreting the Military Interstate Children's Compact and serve as a link between military families and the school system to ensure maximum educational opportunities for academic success.
